Drama & Film Extras
From our broad talent pool spanning teens to those in their 70s -- varying in age, gender, build, and overall impression -- we carefully select and propose extras who perfectly match the production team's vision
With numerous staff who have experienced many filming sets and are well-versed in on-set etiquette, they quickly grasp the director's and AD's intentions, enabling smooth shooting progress with natural movements and expressions even without rehearsal
We accommodate filming at any hour -- early morning or late night -- and swiftly secure staff for sudden headcount changes or additional shooting days, achieving flexible arrangements aligned with production schedules

The filming date is approaching but extras cannot be gathered. You need to secure over 50 people for a large-scale scene, but general recruitment alone is far from sufficient in a short time.

With amateur extras, walking style and eye contact become unnatural, reshoots increase, and the filming schedule falls behind. You need talent who understand the director's intent and move naturally.

It is difficult to pinpoint talent with the right age range and atmosphere for the scene. Detailed appearance requirements such as businessman-like or housewife-like make it hard to find suitable candidates.

Volunteer and openly recruited extras frequently have no-show cancellations and tardiness, creating the risk of headcount shortages on the day that leave gaps in filming. Replacement personnel cannot be secured in time either.

There are concerns about whether on-set rules such as SNS posting bans and confidentiality obligations will be followed. Information leaks about unreleased works or chatting and smartphone use during filming can negatively affect the entire production.

Extra cost estimates are opaque, conditions for additional fees are unclear, and budget management is difficult. There are many situations where allocating extra costs within the overall production budget is confusing.
Here are some real case studies of drama filming extras we have arranged.

We selected a balanced mix of 20 men and women in their 20s to 50s, all in suits, recreating a natural office landscape. By sharing scene-specific movements in advance -- PC operation, phone calls, walking with documents -- we achieved smooth filming without rehearsal. We also coordinated desk arrangements and props for each staff member, staging realism close to a real office.

We secured over 100 staff across a wide age range from teens to those in their 70s, also handling yukata and happi coat fittings appropriate for period drama. To express festival liveliness, we meticulously coordinated cheering and clapping timing, lantern-carrying routes, and placed area leaders for crowd control.

We arranged 15 staff primarily in their 40s to 70s suitable for hospital waiting room and ward scenes. We conducted pre-filming guidance on realistic hospital-specific movements including wheelchair handling, crutch walking, and pushing IV stands. We also handled detailed staging such as reading magazines in the waiting room and carrying flowers for visits.

To maximize impact within a limited budget, we prioritized selecting 8 staff with extensive acting experience. A small group naturally portrayed diverse patron types -- a group of friends chatting, a solo drinker at the counter. They flexibly responded to the director detailed instructions like louder laughter and act more drunk.

When background employees in a drama office scene look unnatural, the realism of the entire production suffers. With only a small number of staff, a large office looks empty and creates viewer discomfort. Additionally, general-recruitment extras tend to look unnatural performing office work like PC operation and phone calls, carrying the risk of schedule delays from reshoots.
We arrange 20-30 extras with carefully considered age and gender balance, meticulously designing natural traffic patterns seen in real offices -- PC operation, phone calls, people walking with documents, people using the copier. We accurately respond to suit and office casual clothing instructions and pay attention to desk accessories and document placement, staging realism indistinguishable from a real office. For serial dramas, we maintain series-wide consistency through continued arrangement of the same cast.

With early morning filming or location traffic restrictions, there are almost no passersby, making street scenes look deserted. General extras tend to walk at unnatural speeds and routes, with the risk of being caught on camera repeatedly passing the same spot. There is also no visual consistency in clothing and accessories for the time of day -- someone in evening attire during a morning scene creates discomfort.
We arrange the needed number of passerby extras matched to the filming time and location atmosphere. For morning commute scenes, suited office workers and joggers in running wear; for daytime shopping streets, housewives with shopping bags and mothers with strollers; for evening entertainment districts, couples and workers heading home -- recreating realistic street scenery by time of day. We pre-coordinate walking routes, speeds, and camera-angle-aware positioning, providing stable performance even for repeated takes.

When restaurant or izakaya scenes have empty seats, it looks unnatural and viewers sense the staged feel. Yet general extras often eat unnaturally with awkward chopstick handling and drink timing, lacking realism. Conversation volume being too loud and covering main cast dialogue, or too quiet and failing to create dining atmosphere, are also issues.
We prioritize arranging staff experienced in dining scene filming, recreating realistic eating scenarios. We position diverse patron types -- couples, families, businessman groups -- with staff who deliver natural eating and drinking gestures creating a lively space. Conversation volume is controlled to match the main cast dialogue, and we flexibly respond to detailed director instructions. With staff accustomed to handling filming-use food, natural dining scenes are maintained even across multiple takes.

Festivals, demonstrations, concerts, sports spectating -- scenes requiring 50 to 100+ people cannot be filled through general recruitment alone. Even if enough people gather, managing large group movement and coordinating cheer timing is extremely difficult, carrying the risk of extended filming and ballooning costs. Maintaining staff motivation during long waiting periods is also a major challenge.
We reliably handle large-scale arrangements of 50 to 200+ people. With block division management and area leaders, we achieve coordinated movement even with large numbers. We pre-coordinate cheering and clapping timing, hand-waving volume, and immediately respond to on-site director instructions like more excitement or quiet down. Even for long filming sessions, we maintain stable standby and response operations, with thorough waiting-period discipline. For voice-included scenes, we also control vocal volume, delivering the spectacular scale unique to large crowd scenes.
Leveraging extensive experience accumulated across numerous drama and film sets, we arrange optimal extras for each scene with an accurate understanding of the director and production team's intentions. We deliver high-quality services made possible by thorough knowledge of on-set flow and filming etiquette.
With over 3,000 staff members spanning all age groups, body types, and impressions from teens to those in their 70s, we swiftly propose optimal talent with photos to match the scene image -- businessperson, student, housewife types -- with final decisions made after production team confirmation.
We can accommodate locations across all 47 prefectures starting with Tokyo. For period drama shoots in rural areas and filming in scenic locations, we prioritize arranging local staff to reduce transportation and accommodation costs, supporting efficient use of production budgets.
Regarding NDAs (non-disclosure agreements), these are signed directly between the production company and staff at the filming location. Staff follow on-set NDAs and filming rules, reliably handling practical information security measures such as SNS posting bans and smartphone management.
