Memorial Service Proxy Attendance

We support all anniversary memorial services including the 49th day, 100th day, first, third, seventh, thirteenth, twenty-third, twenty-seventh, and thirty-third anniversaries. We also accommodate the first Obon (new Obon) ceremony.

Yes, we participate in the post-ceremony meal. Our staff engage in natural conversation with the bereaved family and other attendees, behaving appropriately for a gathering to honor the deceased. Food and beverage costs are borne by the client.

We handle offering arrangements (sweets, flowers, incense, etc.). Let us know if you have specific items in mind. We can also advise on appropriate offerings for the memorial service. Arrangement costs are charged at actual cost.

All our staff are trained in memorial service etiquette, so you can leave it to us with confidence. They are thoroughly familiar with denomination-specific incense rituals, attire, and behavior, ensuring a respectful experience for the bereaved family.

Rest assured. We share information about your relationship and the deceased beforehand, and behave as natural attendees. Even when greeting with "I came on behalf of [client]," the use of a proxy service is never mentioned. Confidentiality is strictly maintained.

We respond flexibly depending on staff availability. However, since memorial service dates are usually set in advance, we recommend consulting us as early as possible. For urgent requests, calling by phone is the fastest way.
